A delegation from Megdar Evers College, City University of New York visited AlvanIkoku Federal College of Education, August 20-24, 2018. The team, made up of Dr. Rudolph Crew (President), Dr. Augustine Okereke (Provost) and Mr. Eugene Pursoo, (Director of Int’l Education) had extensive deliberations with The Provost of AIFCE, Dr. Dan Anyanwu and top leadership of AIFCE.

The leader of MEC-CUNY, Dr Crew expressed happiness with the visit and looked forward to a very beneficial relationship with Alvan. Provost Anyanwu expressed hope of a beneficial bonding between the two institutions and pledged that Alvan will play its part to sustain the relationship. The international visitors met with the students, some academics, and Imo State traditional rulers at Mbari Street culture complex where they were very warmly received by ndiEze, it left for Abuja to meet Federal Ministry of Education officials.

Speaking on the visit, the Director of Academic Collaboration at AIFCE, ABC Duruaku whose office husbanded the activities, noted that the visit will open the AIFCE door wide open for international benefits to staff and students, revealing that the MOU signed with the MEC-CUNY team was diverse, dynamic, and prepped for immediate activation.  The visitors have since returned to the United States.
